We just make things better.

Here is our project, rescued from Durango CO.destine for scrap for a mere $1425. on you guessed it E-BAY. this is a well built boat as we found out by contacting the owner and knew the reputation of the builder there were no soft spots or delamination that we could find so with this we picked it up and brought her home to be reconditioned

this is the beginning: replacing floor in sailboat: first we removed the old warped plywood sole that was glassed into the hull, then glassed in battens made of mahogany the ones that crossed the keel are two piece so they float across the keel for flex in the hull the new boards were coated with linseed oil on all sides as a moisture barrier after the stain was applied. the wood we used was bamboo t&g which we nailed in place except the row in the center which are screwed in for keel access remember to leave a channel for drainage underneath for the bilge or you'll end up with mildew. when finished we'll use a coat of teak oil to top it off .

this is the trailer that came with the boat but with a few modifications it was a good deal safer and easier to tow and the extension for the tongue was needed for launching. next season we'll strip and repaint the hull and teak the deck to add some old world charm to this once great racing sloop

after overhauling the trailer me my trusty companion (Tinker Bell)and my first mate (Logan) took her out to the pond for a rigging inspection and a couple of days sailing to check out all the other systems
